SiteWise Certification
SiteWise is an online prequalification system developed and powered by Site Safe NZ. It serves as a comprehensive tool for grading a contractor’s health and safety capability. It provides main contractors and principal organisations with valuable insights into a contractor’s commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
This was our first attempt at the SiteWise prequalificaiton.
We have attained a commendable score of 75%, positioning us securely within the Green category and earning us the title of a SiteWise Green certified company. This achievement shows our dedication to establishing and upholding top-tier health and safety systems.
While we celebrate a 75% score, we view it as a stepping stone towards continuous improvement and it encourages us to set even higher benchmarks.
Assessment Components:
The annual assessment is a comprehensive process that delves into various aspects of health and safety systems. Components encompass critical elements such as:
- Valid Business Insurances: Ensuring our business is adequately insured to mitigate potential risks.
- Site Specific Safety Plans: Tailored safety plans for specific work locations or projects.
- Accident/Incident Reporting and Investigation: Systematic reporting and investigation procedures for accidents or incidents.
- Hazard Management: Identifying, assessing, and managing potential hazards in the workplace.
- Training: Ensuring employees and subcontractors receive appropriate and ongoing safety training.
- Employee and Subcontractor Engagement: Involving and engaging all personnel in maintaining a safe work environment.
- Health Monitoring and Performance: Implementing measures to monitor and enhance the health and performance of the workforce.
